  4. Follow the instructions in the manual for installing Vid Grid. If, during
  5. the install, Vid Grid detects that your video resolution is not set to
  6. 640x480 with 256 colors follow the instructions below for Changing Video
  7. Display Resolution. You may change your video display resolution either
  8. before or after you install Vid Grid. Also, please read this notice before
  9. calling technical support. Vid Grid has been thoroughly tested before 
  10. release and will play best with the video display set to 640x480 with 256
  11. colors. We strongly urge you to switch to this display resolution.

  14. CHANGING VIDEO DISPLAY RESOLUTION
  15.  
  16. The following is the standard method for changing Windows video display
  17. drivers that use "Windows Setup" for their installation. Your video board's
  18. driver installation may differ. Check the manufacturer's documentation
  19. for your video board.
  20.  
  21. 1.    You may need your Windows Installation disks or the Drivers disk
  22.         for your video board.
  23. 2.    Find the "Windows Setup" icon in the "Main" program group
  24.         and double-click on that icon.
  25. 3.    From the "Options" menu, select "Change System Settings".
  26. 4.    Scroll down the display menu and select the 640x480x256 driver.
  27.         Click "Install" and if prompted, insert the requested floppy
  28.         disk. 
  29. 5.    If 640x480x256 is not listed, select the "Other Display" entry and
  30.         follow the on-screen prompts. After the driver installs, 
  31.         restart Windows.
  32. 6.    When Windows restarts you will be able to play Vid Grid.

  35. IF YOU ENCOUNTER PROBLEMS WHILE PLAYING VID GRID
  36.  
  37. We have found that the most common cause of problems in Vid Grid is 
  38. out of date video display drivers. You should always try to have the most
  39. recent version of your display driver installed on your system when playing
  40. video on your computer. If you have a modem, drivers are available on 
  41. CompuServe, GEnie, Microsoft OnLine and the Microsoft Download Service
  42. (MSDL). MSDL has no connect time charge and can be reached at 206-936-6735.
